You are invited to join us in celebrating the opening of our new exhibition Disentangle: Science in a Gendered World at LifeSpace

At 5pm, we will host an informal introduction to the exhibition with the curator, artists and scientists.

Disentangle is an exhibition of contemporary art, historical objects and scientific case studies that consider how gender can be ‘seen’ or ‘positioned‘ in the world, and the effect of these perceptions on science.

It features art works by Kira O’Reilly & Jennifer Willet, Benny Nemerofsky Ramsay, Clara Ursitti and Ker Wallwork and selected objects from the museum collections at the University of Dundee.

A display of Professor Londa Schiebinger’s project Gendered Innovations demonstrates how accounting for sex and gender in the scientific process affects results.

Curated by Cicely Farrer for LifeSpace in collaboration with Athena SWAN and with support from colleagues in School of Life Sciences.
